EZTV - Official TV Torrents Online Series Download | eztv.to
For many internet users, EZTV stands as one of the most iconic names in TV torrenting history. Built during the golden age of peer-to-peer file sharing, the platform quickly earned a reputation for offering high-quality and frequently updated TV show torrents — long before mainstream streaming became standard. Although its legacy took a sharp turn after a notorious takeover, EZTV remains widely known in torrent communities across the globe.
Origins of EZTV
Launched in 2005 by a group of torrenting enthusiasts, EZTV was designed for one purpose: TV shows only. Unlike general torrent sites that mixed films, games, and applications, EZTV carved a niche by dedicating itself entirely to episodic television.
Its early success was driven by:
- Fast posting of new episodes
- Clean, minimal interface
- Trust and reliability among users
- Organized episode-by-episode listings
This focus allowed EZTV to grow rapidly and become a go-to destination for TV lovers worldwide.
The Turning Point — 2015 Domain Takeover
A major moment in EZTV’s history occurred in 2015. A third-party group exploited domain registration loopholes and took control of the EZTV brand and site. The original founders lost access to domains, and the community was warned to avoid the new operators.
Since then:
- The site continues under different ownership
- Many veteran torrent users remain skeptical
- Some consider the current version “EZTV in name only”
Despite the controversy, the platform remains active and still attracts heavy traffic.
How EZTV Works
EZTV uses the BitTorrent peer-to-peer protocol. To download a show, users typically:
- Visit a mirror or working domain
- Search or browse for a TV episode
- Download a torrent file or click a magnet link
- Open the link in a torrent client (qBittorrent, uTorrent, Deluge, etc.)
- Allow the client to connect to peers and download the file
Once completed, users can watch offline using media players like VLC.

- YTS: Focuses on movies, not TV shows, but famous for small file sizes and high quality — a good supplement if you also download movies.

- Nyaa: Best for anime lovers, including TV-style episodic content and Japanese entertainment.
